Michael L. Gross, M.D.
Dr. Michael L. Gross obtained his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Communications at Cornell University, Ithaca New York. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1983. Dr. Gross completed an internship in general surgery and Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York.
Dr. Gross went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Sports Medicine at UCLA Medical Center, where he served on the medical staff of the UCLA Bruins.
Dr. Gross is board certified in orthopedic surgery and hold a subspecialty certificate in sports medicine. Both certifications were granted by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Gross has published numerous articles relating to knee, hip, shoulder, spine and ankle injuries. He has served as a team physician for local high schools and colleges. He is currently the team physician for athletic teams at Stevens Institute of Technology.
Dr. Gross currently maintains privileges at Hackensack University Medical Center, where he is the Chief of the Division of Sports Medicine and the Orthopedic Director of The Sports Medicine Institute. Dr. Gross is an associate clinical professor for Touro Medical School. He also has privileges at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and Hudson Crossing Surgical Center in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

Oscar Vazquez, M.D.
Dr. Vazquez completed his undergraduate education at Cornell University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Neurobiology and Behavior. He attended John Hopkins University where he was awarded his Doctor of Medicine in 2003. He continued his studies at New York University/Hospital for Joint Diseases, where he was a Resident from June 2003 to June 2008. After finishing his Residency, Dr Vazquez received specialty training in Sports Medicine and Shoulder & Elbow Surgery as a Fellow at the University of Southern California studying under Dr. James Tibone and Dr. John Itamura.
Dr. Vazquez has particular proficiency in advanced arthroscopic procedures including the shoulder, elbow, and hip. He also specializes in shoulder and elbow trauma, joint reconstruction, and replacements including revisions. In addition, he has training in the latest techniques for total hip and knee replacements, including resurfacing and partial replacements.
Dr. Vazquez has served as the team physician for many of the University of Southern California’s collegiate teams. He is the author of numerous research studies and papers detailing the treatment of a variety of Sports Injuries.
Dr. Vazquez is a native of Northern New Jersey where he attended Queen of Peace High School and was the Captain of the Varsity Tennis team. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
James C. Natalicchio, M.D.
Dr. Natalicchio practices non-operative musculoskeletal medicine and specializes in non-operative spine care. He routinely performs in office procedures including a full compliment of therapeutic injections including cervical and lumbar epidural steroid, facet joint, sacroiliac joint, discography, Intradiscal Annuloplasty and Percutaneous Discectomy. He also performs EMG and nerve conduction studies in the office.
Dr. Natalicchio received his BA from Duke University and his medical degree from Columbia University and St. Georges University School of Medicine. He continued his training at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven Connecticut and at the New York University Medical Center's Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation. His fellowship was completed at Florida Spine Institute in Interventional Spine Care and Musculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Natalicchio has participated in numerous research, publications and presentations in his specialty.
Dr. Natalicchio is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and subspecialty certified in pain medicine. He is an active member of the following organizations:
Dr. Natalicchio is experienced in treating acute and chronic back pain and musculoskeletal disorders, including strains, sprains, arthritis, tendonitis, and back pain related to occupational or sports injuries.
Dr. Natalicchio will be conducting office hours at 390 Old Hook Road in Westwood and at 25 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, conveniently located across the street from Hackensack University Medical Center. Any out-patient procedures not performed in the office will be scheduled at either Hackensack University Medical Center or Pascack Valley Hospital at your convenience.
Steven Weinfeld, M.D.
Dr. Weinfeld is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Weinfeld is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center specializing in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Weinfeld graduated from the Albany Medical College and completed his orthopaedic residency at the Albany Medical College. He then completed a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. A member of the Faculty since 1996, Dr. Weinfeld is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, where he serves on the membership committee.
Dr. Weinfeld will be seeing patients at Active Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, PA located at 25 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
A. Ylenia Giuffrida, M.D.
Dr. Giuffrida is a native of Bergen County, born in Hackensack Hospital. She attended Duke University, earning a degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. Next she continued on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she received her MD. Her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency was completed at the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital, one of the busiest Level 1 Trauma Centers in the nation. Finally, she returned to the Northeast to complete her Fellowship Training in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where she trained in cutting edge surgical and nonsurgical treatment modalities for a myriad of hand and upper extremity disorders. After completing her training in different parts of the country, Dr. Giuffrida is glad to be back.
